LATEST MOL LNG CARRIER ENTERS SERVICE

Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and joint owner Itochu Corporation have announced that LNG carrier 'LNG Rosenrot' has been delivered from the Okpo shipyard of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) and has begun a transportation contract with European company Uniper Global Commodities.

The LNG Rosenrot is a sister vessel to LNG Schneeweisschen that was delivered in 2018 and is engaged on the same traffic. LNG Rosenrot is equipped with a low-speed two-stroke (X-DF) power plant from Winterthur Gas & Diesel, which can run on natural gas, MGO and Heavy Fuel Oil.

LNG Rosenrot is 297.9m long, 47.9m beam and is equipped with membrane type cargo tanks with 180,000m3 capacity and will be managed by MOL LNG Transport (Europe).
