Danish product tanker operator Torm, in its latest quarterly report, says it expects to install a total of 49 scrubbers on its fleet.

As of 30 June 2020, Torm had installed 37 scrubbers, and has completed three more installations since that date, making 40 scrubbers in total. Of the remaining nine installations, five are scheduled to be conducted in the third quarter of 2020, one more before the end of the year and one in the third quarter of 2021. The remaining two scrubbers will be installed on two LR2 newbuildings to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Torm adds that after the quarter ended, it received commitment for financing of scrubbers and ballast water treatment systems on four vessels from an international financing institution.
