Danish product tanker operator Torm says in its Annual Report for 2019 that it remains committed to scrubbers for IMO 2020 compliance onboard its vessels, with 49 installations either already undertaken, in progress or planned.

The company plans to have 49 scrubber-equipped vessels in its fleet. As of 31 March 2020, it had installed 32 scrubbers, a number which by 14 May 2020 had increased to 37 scrubber installations. Of the remaining 12 installations, one is expected to be conducted in the second quarter and nine in the third quarter of 2020. The remaining two scrubbers will be installed on two LR2 newbuildings to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2021.
