The Supervisory Board of Rolls-Royce Power Systems and MTU Friedrichshafen has appointed Jasmin Staiblin as Chairwoman, taking over from Axel Arendt, who resigned in May.

Staiblin was CEO of the Swiss electricity service provider and energy producer Alpiq Holding from 2013 to 2018, having previously held various positions at ABB, including CEO of ABB Switzerland from 2006 to 2012. A graduate in physics and electrical engineering, she is a member of several boards of directors, including Zurich Insurance Group, NXP Semiconductors and Georg Fischer AG. Staiblin has been a member of the Board of Directors of Rolls-Royce plc from 2012.

"The appointment of Jasmin Staiblin to the Supervisory Board of Rolls-Royce Power Systems is a very important and valuable step for our business as we approach the energy transition and acceleration of our journey to Net Zero. I am delighted that she has agreed to take on the role of Chairwoman," said Warren East, CEO of Rolls-Royce plc.
