Louise Öfverström is to become Chief Financial Officer of Power Systems, the Rolls-Royce business unit, from 1 January 2020 and a member of the board with responsibility for finance of Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG.

Öfverström will be taking over from Wolfgang Widlewski, and is currently head of Controlling, Accounting & Risk at Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG in Duisburg, Germany. Swedish-born and fluent in German and English, Öfverström previously held positions at Swiss chemical company Clariant and in several divisions of the MAN group, as well as at industrial gas group Linde and the professional services group KPMG.

“Louise Öfverström is a highly accomplished finance expert whose experience in global business goes well beyond the financial sphere,” said Axel Arendt, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Rolls-Royce Power Systems. “She will be a valuable asset to our executive team as it leads the transformation of the Power Systems business unit into a provider of integrated solutions.”
