RENK PURSUES FURTHER INTEGRATION IN MARINE SECTOR

Thursday, October 7, 2021

Renk Group, headquartered in Augsburg, having acquired the Hamburg-based engineering office E-MS in 2020, has been proceeding with the next phase of the integration with a change of managing director.

Founder Peter Andersen handed over the helm to Christoph Fenske, who will take over the position as MD at E-MS in addition to his position as Head of the Special Gear Units Division at Renk Group. Andersen will remain associated with E-MS as a consultant until the end of the year. All jobs and the office in Hamburg will be retained.

Both companies have been working on joint projects for many years.

"The financial stability of the RENK Group will allow E-MS to offer not only engineering services in the future, yet also packages with hardware such as switchgear, electric motors and generators," said Fenske. "This will also result in many synergies between E-MS and the Renk Group, which will benefit our customers."

The two companies are currently pursuing joint projects in the mega yacht, research vessel, commercial ship and marine sectors.
