PCTC and short-sea ship operator UECC says it takes sustainability seriously, and with this in mind it has appointed an Energy and Sustainability manager.

The company believes that the shipping industry must act upon the Paris Agreement and, through its ambitious strategy to reduce fleet emissions, including building two battery-hybrid PCTC vessels, it aims to not only meet the IMO GHG reduction targets but to go beyond them.

Daniel Gent has been appointed as the company’s first Energy and Sustainability Manager. He has been with the company since 2008 and will be handling UECC´s 'green initiatives' towards various stake holders.  UECC says its customers should be pleased to know that the company will deliver sustainability reports and keep a close eye on trends and developments in the market.
