'K' Line of Japan has announced the delivery of the 'Lin Miarak', a 90,000 dwt bulk carrier designed to operate in an environmentally-friendly manner, from the Tadotsu Shipyard part of the Imabari Shipbuilding Group.

The vessel will be engaged in coal transportation for Kobe Steel, under a long-term consecutive voyage charter contract (CVC). The ship was designed and built to be Tier Ⅲ compliant under Regulation 13 of MARPOL Annex VI. By reducing the amount of NOx emitted into the air, she will be complying with regulations published by IMO and will be expected to contribute to the conservation of the global environment.

The ship is 249.99m long, and is powered by a Mitsui–MAN B&W 6S60ME-C10.5-EGRBP main engine. Classed by ClassNK, she will sail under the Panama flag.

'K' Line says it strives to promote environmental conservation measures, and remain committed to flexibly and actively responding to diversifying needs for shipments.
