HAMWORTHY PUMPS APPOINTS NEW CEO

HAMWORTHY PUMPS APPOINTS NEW CEO

Monday, January 11, 2021

Pump manufacturer Hamworthy Pumps has appointed Hans Christiaan Laheij – formerly with Schottel and Wärtsilä – as CEO, in order to fulfil the company's large ambitions for further growth.

The new CEO of the Singapore-based company was recently Deputy CEO and President Marine of Schottel; previously he held managerial positions at Wärtsilä and has lived and worked in the Asia-Pacific Region for a total of 15 years.

Although the global market is at an all-time low, and has affected Hamworthy Pumps in most business areas, the company entered 2021 with renewed optimism after a convincing end to 2020 with a very strong order intake. Ambitions remain high due to increasing sales in the areas of engine room pumps and pump room systems.
