ENGINE ORDER FOR FOUR NEW EVERGREEN BOXSHIPS

China State Shipbuilding subsidiary CSSC Marine Power has signed contracts to produce of four main engines and 20 auxiliary genset engines for four containerships being built at CSSC Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding and Jiangnan Shipyard.

The contract covers four CMD-WinGD 11X92B engines and 20 CMP-MAN 9L32/40 generators for installation on 23,000 TEU containerships ordered by Evergreen Marine. The two yards delivered a pair of 23,000 TEU boxhips last year to Evergreen, which was the first ship order the Taiwanwese carrier had placed in mainland China.
