CMHI YARD LAUNCHES LATEST ULSTEIN-DESIGN CRUISE SHIP

Tuesday, August 18, 2020

SunStone's new expedition cruise vessel, 'Ocean Explorer', fourth in the Infinity class of Ulstein-designed X-Bow expedition ships, was recently launched at the CMHI shipyard, China.

All the ships in the Infinity class are owned and managed by SunStone Ships, on charter to tour operators. Ocean Explorer will work for the Vantage Cruise Line, and is scheduled for delivery in 2021. The vessels are based on Ulstein's CX103 design, with individual adaptations.

Designed and built for smaller-scale luxury expedition cruises, Ocean Explorer features the latest technology, including the Ulstein X-Bow, allowing for smoother sailing and deeper exploration into packed ice, with high standards of passenger comfort. Ocean Explorer offers 77 cabins and 15 solo cabins as well as all normal luxury cruise facilities.
