Ro-ro vessel 'Bohai Hengda', with 2700 lane-metre capacity, was recently launched at the Longkou (China) construction base of CIMC Raffles.

The ship is the second to be built by CIMC Raffles for Bohai Hengtong Ferry Co, following the delivery of sister ship Bohai Hengtong in September 2020.

The new vessel is 189.9m long, 26.4m wide, with a range of about 5000 naut mile at a service speed of 17 knots. It is currently the largest multipurpose ro-ro ship in Asia, designed to modern environmental standards, for transport of trucks, cars and containers, within the Bohai Bay region.

In facing the challenge of global COVID-19 during construction and assembly, CIMC Raffles says it is following the production schedule as much as possible, while guaranteeing quality, with the support of government, ship owner, class, designing company, vendors and subcontractors.
