Hybrid bunker broker LQM has launched its new alternative bunker fuels database, the LQM Eco-Alternative Fuel (LEAF) database, which allows users to search 3,000 datapoints of global bunker supply options to discover which alternative fuels are available and where in the run up towards IMO 2030.

Freely available for LQM subscribers, the database highlights the ports that have plans to provide alternative fuels in the coming years. The LEAF database currently covers LNG, Biofuels and Biogas in all ports globally.  Methanol and Hydrogen options will be added before the end of 2020. In the future, LQM will be releasing monthly updates.

"By 2030, carbon intensity in our industry must be reduced by at least 40%. With IMO 2030 looming, LQM are committed to helping our clients navigate the alternative fuels landscape,” said LQM CEO Daniel Rose.
